well I was thinking about "idle" icon in ASC - I tried but fail :D

here is my version of "idle engi mod"
1. show overlay for engi and for idle engi (off by default)
2. show overlay only for idle engi (on by default)
all so there are overlays for idle factory,SCU and ACU (off by default)

T1 engi is "1", T2 engi is "2",...

but switch is in file in modelus/engineers (scroll down) - you can check it

in vault is old version

this is awesome guys!
i prefer v2 with all the stuff turned on. i like the color change, however Shadows' version have the background removed, i prefer that.

(i use icon mod on small)

HI...
First I want to say I really like your mod and it works pretty good so far. Ther is only one thing I want to ask. Are there any plans or maybe a possibility to activate/deactivate the bigger icons for severals types of buildings/units? For me its more the enought to see a nuke/anitnuke, T2 stationary arty, tmd and the ACU.

Would be nice if there's a way to do this.

It is possible, but I encourage you to use them all as a radar and a tactical launcher can be extremely important to notice earlier in the game and can be the difference between winning and losing. Think about all the games that are played mostly in the Tech1 phase, T2 point defences can become the most devastating structures on the map as they can erase entire squadrons and even bases when used right.

For every structure there is a specific time that he is very important. You just happend to focus on the phase of the nukes and anti nukes.
Now, I can add the functionality of customizing the icon sets, filtering or switching them out and I probably would if this mod were used by a small group of people. The thing is that when you got more then a few thousands of people using the mod you got twitch \ youtube casts and an expected standard. People expect a consistent experience and I must not make the mistake of making it too easy to break across games.

I don't know if this was suggested before, but is it possible to make the mex icon so that you can still see what tech it is when storage is placed? The dots are on the bottom of the icon and that gets blocked by the storage. At least in my situation it does. I sue the small icons.

try mod EcoManager , it make overlay on top of MEX(overlay is always on top)

Thanks. But it does not work with other players, so when looking at your own teammates or the enemy you still need to guess what is T2 and what is T3.

yes, unfortunately T2/T3 MEX's icon is not "always on top" (I wrote suggestion for this, it is annoying to see storages, but not mexes)

original MEX icons are terrible for seeing tech level and ASI are little bit better but for me still not enough :D so I made my own icons for MEXes :? I can upload it if you want to try, it won't sovle the problem, but it is still better(at least for me :) )
