Version 3.0 was a big step and I'm interested to know what people think about the new different sizes.

What is the ideal size for you?
Is the small size good enough for macro-focused enthusiasts? (The ones who rarely zoom-in, if at all..)
Does anyone even use the large size?

I love these. I use the large size since medium and small are unbearable running at 2560x1440 on a 27" screen.

When zooming in they do get a bit big--but it does encourage you to stay zoomed out and see all the action

High resolutions are the main reason behind the large version and it was the only selectable size before version 3.0.
You know, at lower resolutions the icons of the large version could get pretty huge but it could be perfect for people with vision difficulties or for people who just want minimum eye strain after a long day at work.

really great mod, makes seeing important units 100x easier. I dont need to search threw a huge t3 base to find smd or sml or anything anymore.

Hey, small question about this mod: I installed it and tried it by clicking the "Test in-game" button.

It showed a specific "cheat" replay that shows up all the icons : very nice.

But ever since, every time I click on a replay in FAF, this "cheat" replay shows up instead. Very annoying as it seems I am completely unable to watch any other replay !

I tried uninstalling/reinstalling FA, FAF and the mod in all possible combinations, yet couldn't fix the problem.

Does anyone know what is happening and how to fix that ?

I'm running FAF on Windows 8.1.

First time I hear about this kind of thing. The mod have been tested multiple times on windows 7 and replays are supposed to work fine. It sounds as if the game can't understand the path of FAF's request so it runs the first replay it finds in its base folder.

Try deleting this file:
C:\ProgramData\FAForever\bin\StandaloneReplay.SCFAReplay
And this one:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Supreme Commander - Forged Alliance\bin\StandaloneReplay.SCFAReplay
If you have the steam version of FA you may try deleting this one as well:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Supreme Commander Forged Alliance\bin\SteamReplay.SCFAReplay

If you can't find those folders or have a different folder structure then just search for the StandaloneReplay.SCFAReplay file with windows search and delete every instance of it.

i found a bug with the strategics icons, they simply disappear. (is it a bug or a shortcut i activated, i don' know ).
I use the mod : Advanced strategics icons (it might be related )

It's clearly not a bug in the mod. If those problems apear randomly and you didn't run the game from some special, arguments filled shortcut then it must have a deeper source. I've noticed from the log file that you run certain mods like "PWN Desync", "MoreUnitInfo" and "Notify". Try disabling them and then run a replay with and without the ASI mod.

Also, it's more likely that your computer's memory or hard drive is faulty as missing textures and desyncs are usually the symptom. For testing your hard drive you can use the surface check of programs like 'HDDScan': http://hddscan.com/
For testing your memory you can use the program 'memtest86' in this link: http://www.memtest86.com/download.htm Take notice that in the last one you need to burn the program's image file into a cd and boot your computer from it.
