Auto wreckage decay or removal mod

Anyone know if one exists? I've just fired up the game & after an hour in, i'm falling asleep waiting for units to move lol

Well, my AI has such a function.

Install my AI mod and enable it. Select any AI-Uveso as ally or enemy.

A wreck will vanish 20 minutes after it was created.

Its possible to extract the function for a single mod.
And i also plan to add this function to the quality of performance mod.(in case i can talk with the modauthor)
But for now, onyl my AI has it.

Smashing, I will give this a whirl now & see how it performs. I've been using Sorian AI Mod for increased difficulty. So will defiantly give yours a whirl :)

That make me think you are not playing the FAF version of the game ? Because FAF has sorian included.
Please have in mind my mod only works with the FAF version of Supreme Commander.

Oh yeah I removed the patch & installed FAF before using the mod. Used to play the FAF version a year or so ago. Brilliant game, I can't think for the life of me why they haven't re released a 64bit version.

Anyways, been playing for an hour with Uveso AI only 4v1 skermish & I've noticed something as soon as the no rush timer has expired. Its like playing on 5fps. Jittery, its fast if I speed things up as in production & so on. But the units & moving structures don't move smoothly, they jitter.

Edit.. 4 AI v me. I only have the mod your linked to enabled & for the first 20 minutes, the timer at the top right ticks away at the correct speed. But after 20 minutes, it starts to slow down & the timer seconds tick 2.5x slower per second than normal time. I checked this without the mod enabled & I can play up to around 40-50 minutes before I start to see a slowdown. So something is slowing down the game.

Just to specify, it definitely ain't my system. Running sa Ryzen 1600x, 16G DDR4 on a GTX 1060 3gb.

Edit..OK I've just ran the game in vanilla with FAF & it does exactly the same. So I ran the game without FAF no mods & it runs smoothly up until the slowdown after about an hour. But no stuttering, so FAF is causing it for me.

there has been one for several years now. It is called Corpse decay.

How much it frees up sim speed and how much it slows it down due to all the extra calculations - i have no idea ;)

Hello VsUK,

well, my AI should run way faster then the original or Sorian AI.
In case you are using a high unitcount, then my AI will slowdown your PC earlier because of building more units then GPG or Sorian AI.
Also possible, there is a error spam inside the logfile.

Please post your game.log and we will see.

Depending on your system specs, please don't use more then 1800 units for all armies in the game.
So, if you play against 4 AI's, set a unitcap to 375 (365*5=1825)

In case you want a faster game, use 1 AI with a unitcap of 825 and set AI Landexpansions to 1 or 2.
