Bip when message received in chat box

Hello,

I wondered if a mod existed on the BIP emit when a message received from chat box during game?
Often i'm so concentrated on the game that i don't pay any attention on my chatbox.
Is it possible to have a bip/sound that we can configure according to the message sent by the team, opponent team or private?

Could be done easily, just some small adjustments and some cheeky copying and pasting from the observer chat box code, since if you watch replays, you'll hear a nice noise when messages are typed.

I tried it and it's almost perfect Can I challenge you?

It would be nice to improve this mod:
- different sound according to message coming from my team, opponent team, private message or notification messages.
- possibility to adapt volume sound.
- possibility to choose the kind of bip/sound for each kind of message.

The menu configuration in the chat box can mange that only for color or text size. With the sound configuration it would be nice to have.

Hallo Okpuck

I am sorry but i don't have the time to rebuild the chatmenu at the moment.

It's also not possible to change the sound volume for a single sound.
(only options are "Global", "World", "Interface" and "VO" (voice) )

BUT...

I changed the mod so it can play different sound for different message types.

If you like to cusomize the sounds go to the moddirectory and search for the file:

\Mods\ChatBeep\hook\lua\ui\game\chat.lua

There you can change the sounds if you like.
I added a list of all 116 possible sound from the "interface" sound bank.
Ready for simply copy & paste.

Just play around with it.
I added some comments, so it should be easy to understand even with no coding skills.
