HI dear modders,

It is cool to execute a area of effect damage buff from a power script. So now it's possible to execute all FX threads possible in sequence or not.

Ui --simcb(powerid)--> Unit.ExecutePower(powerid) --> poweridscript.OnCast.

If i can make and execute buffprints from my power scripts, if will be so easy to add powers of any kind without touching at the mod code.

Since i do not have the time to make all the powers fx, team work will become a dream. Everybody will be able to create their own powers, powers scripts and fx. Everything in one file per power.

I hope you can see the supcom modding potential. Just HUGE :shock: !

Interactive and cooperative possibilities can be much improved. Imagine unique powers, unique auras, different for each faction. So team battles can be set to a new level of epicness.

Hi all FAF citizens,

Since mod architecture is near to be ready, i started thinking for defining classes concept. The goal is to give coherent, interesting and charismatic classes to play.

This a beginning road map (for sure not all will be developped for the 02/2018 alpha :)), for 4 base classes and 4 prestige classes.

Please note that powers efficency is depending of the unit promoted. A promoted tech 3 subAcu does much stronger powers than a promoted tech 1 light assault bot.

A pretty cool feature added to the mod.

Rogue units classes are able to radar stealth and at higher level to cloak (A mantis on the screenshot).

For now, only a passive selen cloak type is on my roadmap but i think this can be enhanced. Since we can control the visibility we can add some conditions. For example we can add a trainable stealth power. And so higher stealth level units may only be visible if at least a same stealth opponent is in range.

A stealth war has just begun !

Hi all FAF citizens !

A lot of work did on Alliance of Heroes Mod since last month :

1. Enhanced Buff System to take care of new affects.

Please note that a debuff is done by passing negative values thru the Blueprint ;)

2. Enhanced dynamic Tooltip System with full Armor and Weapons data integration.

A lot of work done to integrate everything in the formula engine and it works !

3. Full dodging collision system.
Now, when a unit misses a target, the projectile go thru. So simple to say but....


Some very interesting stuff is coming soon about powers scripts (Some Enhanced tools !!!).

Alliance of Heroes unit Ui has been completely reworked for a more minimalistic view. It should interfere less with other ui mods.

After one year and a half of work, Alliance of Heroes is finally available in PRE-ALPHA :) !

There are a lot improvements to do but i hope you will have fun testing the mod.

So the mod architecture and flexibility allow much more content (powers, classes...), so if you want to participate to the mod dev pm me. There are so much to do and FA modding has a crazy huge potential !

you could upload the mod to the vault as well to make it easier to get (the faf client will install it in the mod directory for the user)
I also recommend using whole numbers instead of decimal numbers for the mod versions since the client doesn't handle those very well

I uploaded version 3 to the vault.

Version 2 causes issues in multiplayer games. It needs to be removed. Don't know how to do it !

with proper versioning the old mod version should be hidden by default
