Thanks for your reply, I switched to the original config where I saw that everything was already set to low, except fidelity presets I think. I changed that to low also but there is no improvement, the game doesn't start and I just have a black screen as before.

Try running the updater again. Perhaps there is a corrupted file, and the updater will check all of the files via checksums, and re-download anything that isn't correct.

Please post all problems and comments in the new thread, as I'm trying to consolidate to that thread.

Thanks

It still doesn't work, tried twice, nothing changed.

I'm away for 2 weeks, shall see that when I'll be back home, thanks.

Make sure to not have any FAF mods on.
I had a black screen when trying to play through steam due to me having some UI mods on.
I had to restart the whole game after unselecting those mods before it worked aswell.

Does your original installation still work, or is just LOUD that isn't working ?

HTKatzmarek could give you the full story of how he uses AutoIT. It's not used by any of the game code, but is used by the LOUD installer/updater program.

Yes, only the SCFA game updater/switcher uses AutoIt. It's not used in the game, as everything is written in lua. AutoIt is a scripting language that has some very powerful programming capabilities, especially for file checking and manipulation, and I wrote the updater program in AutoIt.

You can download the AutoIt programming language, and the SciTE editor that it uses here:
