Nice work

observation - if you click a mex (T1) it shows the T2 & T3 upgrades as also as my bound key for T1 (S)
would that not be better to be the hotkey upgrade key in this instance?

Also factories could use the same key overlay (currently blank)

Thanks

todo:
- add option to hide/show these labels somewhere in the interface options
- convert 'comma', 'backslash' etc from the game.prefs to usable label text

First of all, thank you, this is awesome. Should be on by default in the game, as should hotbuild. Really helps new players.

Second, could combination keys be shown as two characters instead? Like CTRL+A would become CA, SHIFT+A SA, ALT+A AA, or the other way around(AC, AS, AA) as that seems more clear. That should still fit decently. Or would that require making each option by hand? Not familiar if you can modify string values in lua.
There is no reason why you couldn't make a couple rules to manually add comma and dot though(or tell someone to make that for themselves and share after they do.) They're pretty used keys for the right side layouts after all.

Done, ctrl will have a yellow, alt an ugly orange and ctrl+alt a red coloured text. Shift won't need an extra colour i guess, since it is (or should) only be used to queue up anyway

I actually did that weeks ago, but didn't bother to upload

Can this same stuff be applied to tooltips for assist, reclaim, capture, patrol etc? Or maybe even have a small similar "image" on the command icon :)

ok i decided to work on the order hotkeys, here's the result

Image

it also works for many other things which are not displayed, like shooting sml/tml, teleporting, submerging, transport, ferry, ...

notable things:
- this works for pretty much everything i tested, except: toggle generic, toggle special, toggle attackmodes. none of them seems to do a thing
- "toggle all" might be the best hotkey ever. works for shield, shield domes, radar, sonar, omni, cloak, jamming, stealth field and even eye scrying, i recommend using this one.
- if you have multiple keys performing the same task, only one will be actually displayed.

Hey Washy,

First, thanks for the amazing mod! Makes hotbuild usable for a noob like me.

Yesterday I started getting freezes and in troubleshooting I isolated your mod. They occur 100% of the time it is enabled (tried disabling Notify and Supreme Scoreboard independently). Once I enter a game I can hear the game proceeding, but the UI never loads and I am frozen. I have to Task Manager > End Task to get out.

There's an error in the game.log (Error running CreateGameInterface script in CScriptObject at 1cf83d74). I would include the stack trace but the forum isn't letting me as I had to make a new user account (thinks I'm spamming).

Deleted the mod folder (for 1.2) and installed 1.4 with the same result. It's pretty weird this just started now; I've been using the mod with great success for a while now. Will try FAF and FA reinstalls if necessary, wanted to check with you first.

Thanks again,
Perm
