Sir Prize, I used your game prefs file and I can see the shortcut. Either your just not seeing it or you are editing the wrong copy of the file somehow. See, its just above 'Camera':

What's the specific path I go to to look at the Unit id's for support factories? I need all 6 for each faction.

The Unit id's for all of the t3 mobile aa would be good as well.

Edit: I got all the unit id's by setting templates using those units and then reading them from game.prefs. They are below for anyone that would like them. I'm still interested in how to get them from the blueprints, however.

Spoiler: show

After you open the mod (as per previous instructions, rename to zip, etc), the blueprints are stored in the units folder. It's chaos in there and will take you ages to find the right ones. So search for "SUPPORTFACTORY" like I said. Here are the id's (third column is tech level):

Also if you use the online unit database, when you click on a unit it has its ID listed there as well.

Hmm so that's not there for me. And all my hotkeys are assigned or stacked in an "Unassigned Actions" section. So there's something else going on.

I actually downloaded hotbuild out of the vault before it was integrated, or before I knew it was. So I think that's the problem, although I don't understand why.

I think I'll leave it though. I already have a "select all idle scouts" hotkey, I just wanted to edit yours to make a "select nearest scout" or "nearest idle scout". No big deal I'm sure very good players play without either, and if I transfer to the integrated version it will either take ages or be impossible to set up my hotbuild the way I have it now.

Partytime (or anyone else reading this), could you re-use my game.prefs file and see if the hotbuild looks something like this? https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/105 ... ault54.png

If you use the integrated GazUI and hotbuild and, for example, when you use a J key with my file it builds amphibious tanks, torp launchers, torp bombers or cruisers, depending on what you've got selected, I think I will be very happy. That would mean I could uninstall my GazUI and hotbuild and then use my game.prefs file to retain my hotkeys, right?

 So I'm bumping this again.

After a fair bit of effort and some crucial help from Sheeo (<3) I've got rid of my unintegrated Gaz UI and Hotbuild and have the same settings as before. It also means I have a new game.prefs file, which should, given I'm now using the supported settings, have a UserKeyAction section and doing this stuff should be really easy. But no UserKeyAction section :(. I have a UserKeyMap section but I can't see where the hotkey options are being defined.

I'm using a Steam version now, no idea if that matters. Here's a link to it (can't attach it apparently)... https://www.dropbox.com/s/2injwyyx36je6 ... prefs?dl=0

PS if someone uploaded their game.prefs file so I could paste in the UserKeyAction section, would that work?

There's nothing you can do with that command since it's not customizable.

It actually invokes the c++ function UI_ExpandCurrentSelection

['select_all_units_of_same_type'] = {action = 'UI_ExpandCurrentSelection', category = 'selection', order = 44,},

defined in \lua\keymap\keyactions.lua

what are you trying to do?

I like to have it "select units of same type on screen" for land and navy, better then double click and you can use it for more type of units(double click can only one)

I already changed many default shortcut to "on screen" , but for air using both
