However you should build both units, and operate them in serparate forces. Loyalist should be grouped with mantis and Hopplite. They work best on the flank and on the raid. Bricks on the slow moving frontline. Don't tie down Loyalists by escorting the Bricks. You loose all your advantages, and the Bricks don't really need the cover. Think of Bricks as a walking T3 PD, and you'll have the right idea.
This is actually really helpful. Before I'd send in my t3 land all together if I were playing cybran.
