How to start first time?

I have installed game FAF (not Beta but suggested one) , logged in, on the main page its written " you can choose a fraction or play random and we will match you against somebody. But when I press play nothing is happening , he is just searching and searching.
Have I done something wrong?

That's the ladder automatch system. The search time is dependent on whether someone near your "range" is searching at the same time you are. This is purely for 1v1s.

If you want to play team games or just custom 1v1s where you can choose the map/your opponent, you click on the icons under "create a custom game." The first icon creates a FAF-balance game while the icons under the FAF icon are various featured mods/betas.

But there are no icons under CREATE CUSTOM GAME?

I dont have any icons, just empty area.
Hm, I have FA on disk, its inside, but maybe FAF did not found it.

Yeah the only issue I can think of that would cause this is an inability to locate your .exe to run the game. But maybe I'm missing something.

Afaik this means FA didn't correctly receive the featured mods from server/didn't patch them: Pls post your client logs (can be found in the top right). In the mean time you can also try using the other client (beta) as it uses a completely different patching system.

Sometimes when I try to join some I am asked for password. When I submit FAF password he say that it is wrong?

Do I need some other password?

the games that have a lock are private games hosted by someone who only want certain people to join if you have not been given the password then you can join as the host decides the password for that lobby
