release: 04-27-2017

Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War III is an upcoming real-time strategy/MOBA game. It is set to be released for Microsoft Windows on April 27, 2017. The initial races available for play will be the Space Marines of the Blood Ravens (who have appeared in the other Dawn of War games), the Eldar, and the Orks.[4] In addition to returning to the traditional RTS basebuilding (as seen in the first game and its expansions), Dawn of War III also includes larger-scale walker units – Imperial Knights for the Space Marines, Wraithknights for the Eldar, and Gorkanauts for the Orks.

It looks like a decent game for me. That's why I'm wondering if I'll buy it. My problem are the chances compared to Dow I. The base building for example is limited to 7 buildings, also some unit upgrades are missing.

So I want to hear your opinion about the game so far.

played dow 1, and 2, and also played tabletop, i'll buy, but maybe when it drops down a bit in price

a lot of people seem to suffer from DOW 1 nostalgia, dow1 was not that versatile, go back and look at it :P

I never played DoW2 as it had no base building but I'm a big fan of the first game. Thats why I'm interested in DoW3.

Seems like a simplified rts , railroaded into moba mechanics

I'm not a fan of pricing a game at 60 dollars for the gameplay of free games + essentially butchered rts elements

Suffice it to say : No

EDIT:
And none of you should get it either, we can't keep rewarding people for making terrible choices and ruining franchises.

I think everyone is underestimating the complexity of the "hero" units and should do some more reading on the game as it has a lot more than it seems. They focused on one multiplayer mode, which is kind of odd, but anyone willing to realize it takes A LOT of effort to bring something new to the table gets points from me.

The map design looks like utter garbage, though, so I'm uneasy about early investment. It looks like everything is a simple 3-lane design with no use of landscape, air units, etc. This worries me...

I'll probably get it at a some point, Voodoo.

If i had a computer capable of playing anything other than FAF I would have voted yes.

It's a good idea to also add an option for: "Will wait for it to be on special". Lots of people don't get all the games at launch. [edit: it's prob been in the poll all the time]
