Goliath ONLINE!

I haven't been working on BlackOps in quite some time but there are still some things I miss about that part of my life. Luckily some of those things can be made real!

I've actually had this guy sitting around for a couple of years now but only just recently got around to painting it! I'm glad to finally get it done, but that just means the Basilisks are next.....

thats pretty cool actually.

how tall is it? would be cool to have another photo with something for scale next to it

that looks like it could have movable joints; does it?

how long did this take you to make / paint?

It's about 6cm/2.25" tall, there is a picture on the Shop page with an unpainted model next to a quarter.

No joints on this one but I'm working on a version that is more like a proper model kit. The Downside is it's going to cost 2-3 times as much due to the nature of 3D Printing.

It didn't take too long to make the model, I have the Original Goliath MKII model of course so I just had to remodel(to account for 3D printing requirements) using the original as a basis and then just sent it off to Shapeways to get printed. Painting took a few more hours again, I messed around with different color combos, originally only have 2 Greys and 1 Blue but eventually went with 3 of each.

I know but it hasn't to be printed in one peace. Maybe each leg and the body seperate from each other.

If I get some time this weekend I'll take a look at the Harbringer model, did you have any particular size in mind?

Maybe 10 cm, it should definitely bigger than something from a Kinder surprise ;)

Hmm, that'd be pretty big for printing, at least using Shapeways. The Harbringer is pretty spindly overall but still. You'd also run into the issue where the model isn't detailed enough to really work at that scale, the polys would really stand out.

That being said, changing scale is pretty easy, once I get the model out and clean it up a bit I can offer something a bit more specific and helpful.

Don't put too much effort in it. 5 cm would be fine as well.
