Graphics issue with tiny "Bigger Strategic Build Icons"?

Hi all,
I've noticed a weird issue and wonder if anyone has been able to solve this.

Context:
There is the UI setting "Bigger Strategic Build Icons". I always have it set to "Bigger icons with Tech Marker" and it's great. What it normally does: in the build menu of factories, the unit icons show both the hotbuild letter associated with the unit, and a strategic icon (e.g. the dot for artillery).

The issue:
The size of the strategic icon (e.g. the dot for artillery) in the factory build menu. Since ~March, that strategic icon has become so tiny it's barely legible. Everything else in the unit icons is fine - both the letter and the unit image are normal. I had not changed any settings or hardware, but the issue may have started when I installed a FAF patch around March.

What I've tried:
* Toggling my "Bigger Strategic Build Icons" settings to "Off" and to "Bigger icons" (without tech markers). When "off" the strategic icons disappear as they should. When just "Bigger icons", the strategic icons become tiny.
* Change resolution. Icons remain tiny.
* Install mod "Advanced strategic icons". This fixes the issue - the strategic icons become normal size again. I'd prefer not using this mod though.

My settings:
* UI settings for "Bigger Strategic Build Icons": "Bigger icons with Tech Marker"
* Resolution: 1920 x 1080
* Client version: 1.1.6

Has anyone else encountered this issue?

This is a known issuse and should be fixed in the next game patch AFAIK
