Bad Ping Lag Issues

Postby Gumba213 » 07 Jan 2020, 04:32

Hey guys, I am having major lag issues the last week or so. It's been so bad I can't play without people complaining. I am on V1.1.1 and not sure what the issue is. I run cable modem with 50mbps down and 15mbps up and have an i5 with a gtx 780ti. I shouldn't have any issues yet I do. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,

What issues do you have? When you press F11, what is your latency? Is it below 500 ms? What does the behind column in the network statistics table do? Does it spike (increase above 0-2) for everyone else sometimes?

Please also measure your latency in the background while playing using e. g. ping.canbeuseful.com.
What does the ice adapter do? You can open its debug window by clicking on the tray icon and then sow debug window.
What are your candidates there? (the remote and local column, e. g host, srflx, prflx, relay) If it's not relay, you can try going to the settings and ticking the force relay box. That will increase your latency and server load, but make your connection more stable if there's an issue with NAT traversal
What does the RTT (round trip time = latency = "ping") column and the last received column say? (beware though, they are only displayed if the offer column is true, otherwise they will be - 1 and can be ignored, to become the offerer in all connections, you need to host the game)

It should also be noted that both FAF client and website show latency issues, this is exclusive only to FAF no other sites acting like this for me, which tells me I have issues with connecting to their servers on a few different levels. What could be going on here? I have no ideas... No problems with any other games but this one. Something is off with the servers
