Asking for user Yeahoo:

When trying to host or join any game, gets error "file wasn't sent by server"

contains a ton of errors e.g ConnectionRefusedError: [WinError 10061] No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it

Try the other client, it uses a different updater.
Developer, Server Admin, ICE, currently working on Team Matchmaking, FAF Client
