The file wasn't properly sent by the server. Try again later

Postby Hackworth » 17 Jan 2018, 23:01

I've already played a few Co-op games yesterday and today without problems. When I tried to start the next game, this error came up, and since then I can't download any new files, including vs. multiplayer.

Since then I updated the client, cleared the game files and cache data, then made a clean re-install and again cleared game files and cache. No antivirus is or has been running, and only the windows 10 firewall is. Forever.log from after the re-install is attached.

Same thing here, all downloading is basically impossible I either get "connection closed" or "The file wasn't properly sent by the server." Replays and downloading maps gets me these popups.
On another computer with windows 8, no problems.

EDIT: I turned off IPv6 in the network adapter settings (as suggested in a similar thread) and this seems to temporarily fix the issue.

Are there any downsides with turning off IPv6? I'm not really familiar with this. Any chance this might get fixed FAF client side?

IPv6 is just a protocol to give you an address which is used to send packages to a specific location

as long as you don't use a service that doesn't support ipv4 at all (which is fairly unlikely) you should be fine

with that being said having not working ipv6 is not ideal and we will need to fix this bug at some point
