Installing FAF Error

Same Problem. Only that the installation package he is locking for, is in my case tmpicalmn.msi

well, please follow this clean up tutorial :

please re donwload the faf.msi, check if its the correct one by checking md5 , its in the clean up tutorial

then, try again, if it fails again, then do this :

open "cmd.exe" (command prompt) as administrator

go to the download folder where faf.msi file is, with :
after that use the following commands :

cd %USERPROFILE%

- to change to your user folder

cd downloads

- to go to your download folder

then type

Code: Select all

msiexec /i FAF.msi /Lime msilog.txt

- to get a log from the instaler

then attach the msilog.txt to this post, using the Upload attachment below


I assume problem is in TMP folder, but, well do this then it will generate a log

I didnt work. And maybe i had should said that first, but i cant deinstall the old Forged Alliance Forever Program. if i try it i generates the same problem

it is what I told above, you have old files...

Error 1714. The older version of Forged Alliance Forever cannot be removed.  Contact your technical support group.  System Error 1612..

you need to clean TMP folder, and also , completely delete all files from previsous version...
CClenar has option to clear temporary files, also windows has that option on the system cleaner
