I installed Mumble just fine. Followed the instructions for setting it up. Then the instructions say to go to FAF and Select Options, then Settings, then Voice. Unfortunately, there is no Voice under my Options/Settings?? Are the instructions old and no longer correct?

My apologies for the late reply, I was away this weekend.

The mumble connector/auto channel changer and link to FAF client is no longer functional. This feature was removed. You can still manually change channels. Connect to mumble.faforever.com and please refer to the second post on this sticky for further help, if you are still experiencing issues, please contact me again on here via private message or on the FAF client.

Hope this helps,
Nyx.

Sorry, if this is not right place to post.
How can I discover the reason mumble autoconnection was broken? Look at related to this code, discussions, etc. Github shows nothing for mumble.

The mumble auto connector went the same way that many FAF features went...
https://github.com/FAForever/client/com ... 4b19809043

it broke due to an update and instead of fixing it, it got removed to implement it in a better way... which never happened.

It was removed because it was defunct, unfortunately, after looking through the code, I couldn't make too much heads or tales of why/how it had been done the way it had and the original author has discontinued it. As many people do not use mumble but use their own personal voice coms, it was not considered worth looking into.

If more people use mumble then I expect there is a likelihood that it will be looked at again.

I guess I could sit there and manually move you to different channels when you are playing? :D

Thanks. (Sorry for long waiting.)

I think autoconnection functionality can be done easily with Discord API.
I just googled a little and found this: https://github.com/just-fans-of/impromp2
This js bot is used to create temporary voice channels. It can be used as an example.
it uses discord.io library which also has a method to move users between voice channels
(https://izy521.gitbooks.io/discord-io/c ... Users.html)

But as most faf code is written in python, you will probably like discord.py more
https://discordpy.readthedocs.io/en/lat ... te_channel
https://discordpy.readthedocs.io/en/lat ... ove_member
I'm not sure how to make only players from one team to be able to enter their channel, but I think this is possible.

So, what are your thoughts on this?

P.S. created an issue on github: https://github.com/FAForever/server/issues/308

I've read that link, and it says contact white names in FAF, so the page needs to be more clear on it : )
Ok now I joined slack, thanks for help.
