Trouble starting FA

Postby Blueman » 06 Jan 2013, 18:35

Hello

i am having trouble starting supreme commander forged alliance on FAF. I have a steam version of FA which also doesnt work and i was hoping installing FAF would fix, with its auto-update system.
When i start the game through steam or FAF then it does nothing no error screen, no messages, nothing.
When i open my task manager i cant see it in applications, but i can see it under processes.
I am a long time fan of this game and any help or advice would be appreciated.

Clarify the "it" in your message. Do you talk about Steam exe ? FAF exe ? FA-FAF exe ?

The game (FA) does nothing, it doesnt start up. Basicalyy acts like i never issued a start up command ,exept the fact it is registered in the processes list as an active program.

It cannot open anything related to the game, even replays. For some reason in my C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Supreme Commander Forged Alliance\bin
i have 2 FA .exe files Supremecommander and ForgedAlliance.

You are not supposed to have a ForgedAlliance.exe there.

It shouldn't be there in the first place so yes. But have you any idea why you have that file there ?
