Trouble starting FA

the logging is enabled, i did it in the FAF lobby, but i dont know where to look for the game log

Same place than the other log.

There isnt the game log, theres only the forever log

Hm.

There are several issues I know about steam FA :
- The game was never launched in steam. To solve it, re-validate the cache in steam, launch the game at least once, and retry in FAF.
- One guy had his FA refusing to launch with aero on in windows seven.

Other than that, without any log, it's really hard to guess... What is in your fa_path.lua ?

by re-validateing do you mean to verify the inegrity of the game cache.
And i cant open the fa_path.lua which is in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\FAForever, and what is Aero.

If you can't open it, it's maybe your problem.

- Revalidating : Yes, I meant that.
- Aero : "Glass" UI in windows 7.

my computer says it is a lua file so maybe thats why computer cannot open it.

tried valydating the files it does not help, the problem still there. I tried unistalling and reinstalling, but it didnt help.

Open it in a text editor.

Just to be sure, replace all the / with \\ and retry.
ie :
fa_path = 'C:\\Program Files\\Steam\\steamapps\\common\\Supreme Commander Forged Alliance'
