FAF with second Hard Drive and Steam

So First off I run steam and FA through a second Hard Drive. So i downloaded FAF and attempted to install onto the second hard drive. I have gone so far as to type out the directory e:/programs/steamaps/ ect... anyway FAF never seems to find the game. I thought at first i needed to reinstall and have tried several times. next i checked my install and it seems no matter what FAF is always on my c drive even when i select my e drive to install to. I think this is why I cannot play. does anyone have an idea on what i can do to fix this. and no i cannot install the game onto the c drive. it is a solid state and not large enough
