Windows 8 compatibility

Postby Pierto » 22 Nov 2012, 22:31

Can anybody confirm if SCFA and the FAF client is compatible with Windows 8? I would like to upgrade my hardware which comes with the Win8 OS.

Thanks!

Could you be a bit more specific about FAF 'problems' with Win 8? I do not want to start a discussion here about the good/bad things about Windows 8, there are enough other forums for that. I just want to know about technical compatibility with the most awesome RTS ever :)

i run win8pro and had trouble with FAF in the beginning. but i also had trouble with downloading and watching youtube. after a couple of days i found the cause of ma problems: avast free antivirus (yes they claim to be compatible with win8, but they really are not).

now fa and faf runs fine for a month now. i have other problems, but not with fa and faf. it even might be easier to install faf, because .net framework 4 is already a part of win8 and does not need a separate install anymore.
