Foiled by the Smurfing protection

Postby mjrmua » 21 Oct 2012, 13:56

I used a friend's PC to install and play last week, not realising that this would prevent him using his own account on that machine. (Due to the smurfing protection system).

Will the anti-smurfing records eventually timeout and allow him to login, or do we need to contact an admin to get records reset?

it works this way:

the computer you used your account on the last time will be "bound" to that account, means you can't use another.
you "unbind" your pc by using the account on another computer, this way your computer is free and can be used by another account.

warning: don't do this too often, else it will look like smurfing
