The Plan:

1) Desired: Invite only with 8 teams, no rating restriction, for a round Robin. Top two teams face off in a best of 5.

2) If there is enough interest, a swiss-style tournament will be made to have "qualifiers" to make up the 8 teams to play in the official tourney.

Date of tourney: Mid-February should there be no qualifier round. Early March if there is one to ensure all participants can play.

If a backup is needed, the team or individual can request with myself or the TD. Since there is no rating restriction, this should be easy.

Map pool will be small, around 12 maps so that ample practice and competition can be experienced. There will likely be repeats, but that is preferable to degrading readiness.

Trophies: CAD concept model is currently being generated, and am hoping to use a 3-D printed model. As part of the prize for top placement, the winners can choose a symbol, text-engraving, whatever to make the trophy unique.

Example map pool:

Sirgis, Twin Rivers (one start on side island), Argon, Drunken Beetles Dance, Maridia, The Ditch Reborn, White Fire, Farce in The Forest, Syrtis Major Open, Sentons, and a few more.

That is an example list and does not reflect the actual tournament.
