Mappool Gentlemen's Club

Rules:

1. Select only the maps from the maplist in this thread for your ranked mappool, none more, none less.

2. Give notice of your joining to the club in this thread. Everyone is welcome, there is no rating or any other restriction.

3. Enjoy playing an oldschool, competetive mappool with everyone else in the club. Comes with the possibility to make fun of everyone who is not in the club.

4. The mappool consists of 15 maps. Diversity in size and gameplay of the maps shall be kept over personal preferences.

5. Some of the maps may change in regular time intervalls (propably once per month)

6. Everyone is welcome to contribue to the map selection, but as long as i'm playing, i will have the last word on it to avoid fruitless debates, and will pass it to someone else after. If you don't like the it, make your own club

Bonus Rule: You do not talk about the Mappool Club.


(fun side note: Selecting only this maps will influence the top15 maps aswell, and increase the chance to force even people to play them who refuse to join the club )

Do we need to change some maps, or should we keep this pool for longer?

If you want a change, post a list with maps in/out (as many as you want). If there are enough similarities, a maximum of 4 maps will be replaced.

I have to confess i kept Field of isis and Sera Glacier in the selection list. But i consider those as classic maps too.

Well actually i didn't play a single ranked in the last 2 months, so it doesn't matter much xD

Wondering what is going on with this. Most people have many of these maps selected anyways but I seem to get stuck on maps that are not in my selections... In my past 10 matches I've not had a single one on any of my selected maps... Just wondering whether this has sort of fizzled out or what the true purpose is... Did you have less people join than you expected?

Well, it only works if you play against people who are in the club too. And there are unfortunatly propably none of them in your rating range.. Even though against all others you should still have 33% Chance to play one of your maps + 33% Chance to get one of the top maps (which might include some of our maps too). If you haven't got one in 10 games, that is just very bad luck or maybe some bug. But the purpose is that you will have maps more to your liking whenever you play against someone who is in the club too, which needs such people in the first place of course.

I did not expect anything with this, it was created for everyone who prefers to play a less ernomous mappool, including myself. The reasons why not so many people join, especially with lower rating can range from them not caring about the maps, liking the big map pool, liking the idea but not the specific maps that we choosed, or not knowing about this idea. Last one would be my main guess, and telling people about it might lead some to join and increase your chances to play against someone who is in the club too, but i don't know, maybe everyone just prefers to play 100 different maps.
