rhei's theme still works just delete " games.ui " file from each theme folder. ( and change version number to current)

Extract zip file to themes folder

%COMMONAPPDATA%/FAForever/themes

(C:\ProgramData\FAForever\themes for most of you)

or

Click in FAF Lobby -> 'HELP' -> 'Show Logs"



ProgramData is hidden folder so you may need to enable show hidden files.

After installing should look something like this:


How to change faf theme:
FAF Lobby -> Options -> Theme


"Incompatible Theme" message from FAF. How to 'fix':
You need to change a number in the theme version file, located in the "...\FAForever\themes\...'foldername'..."
__________________________________________________________________________________________________

1. - Click in faforever window - "HELP" -> "Show Logs"

2. - Open "themes" folder

3. - Find "version" file and edit ( right click, open. select notepad )

4. - Enter the latest FAF version number, save. ( example: change 0.8.31 to 0.8.48 )

5. - Restart faf and done.

Install instructions:

1. download theme from this post
2. extract the contents into: C:\ProgramData\FAForever\themes (this exact directory, NOT program files)
3. restart faf
4. in the top menu go to: Options>themes> then click on the theme
5. restart faf again if it does not already

any advice on a good free software to uncompress these rar files ? (had the bad idea of downloading winzip, which I remembered from years ago as being legit and am now in the process of trying to remove the shit it sneakily installed on my system, not really daring to try winrar now)

Alternatively, why not just use a compression fomat that windows can natively decompress ?
