I'm not a fan of the dashed outlines or the background image. If you decide to change it, it'd be cool to have faction-specific backgrounds.

Just my 2 cents.

I created a new build for you to peruse. It makes CHAT and USER COLORS themeable.
The link is in the FIRST POST of this thread.

It also completely rearranged all the ui file locations, now they are ordered by module, not by type. This makes it much easier to theme a specific module and not risk breaking another one just because they both use the same 16x16 icon for something.

The new lobby will BREAK your old themes, and will most likely crash. You need to rename or delete your custom themes in order to run it (assuming you have a custom theme selected).

Colors are a bit garish here and there - UEF units don't have many brightly colored lights, they have less saturation. Maybe reduce saturation on the colorful parts? (but that's just me).

Download:

also needed to change some files in _res folder, they dont change when in themes folder:
http://ozonex.pl/pliki/_res.rar

INSTALATION:
themes move to _themes folder, and res files to _res folder (replace existing files)

to make better skins i need to change some positions etc. but dont know how yet

screens:

http://i386.photobucket.com/albums/oo30 ... 3/aeon.png
http://i386.photobucket.com/albums/oo30 ... 3/sera.png

These are good, however: only the Cybran one is really great. UEF didn't have yellow in its color scheme until supcom 2, so it really shouldn't have yellow in it now. In place of yellow where it is now, it should just have another (darker?) shade of blue.

The cybran looks great because it's primary color (red) and secondary color (black) are both shown and prevalent.

Aeon's secondary color is most assuredly white. The green is great, but the background should be white, not black (or otherwise dark)

As far as seraphim goes, the primary color of yellow/gold is fine but the secondary/background color shouldn't be a faded black, but more of a faded chrome/silver color.

Thanks!

I dont care, I think they all look good. I may be a little sad or nostalgic but I think gpgnet looks great. I think faf will look better. I cant wait....

I'm pretty sure there will go in the installation package, if you are okay with that :)

The themes are 4 MB each, so maybe not. But I wanted to move themes into Appdata and then we and others can distribute them as installables (dont have to be MSIs, could be ZIPs. I'll work something out. Because themes have so much control over the ui, they need to be updated along with the lobby.

Maybe we can, rather than PNGs, use JPGs for the larger images.
