In other words no. Just another bs claim where you make fool of yourself.

What you describe here would desync the game as well.

i did test it
it didn't desync the replay
now can you please come with some evidence for your claim instead of making accusations and demand that others provide evidence of your claims being untrue

Personally I think basing your game design around unit behaviour being deliberately stupid or your UI being deliberately shit is not in the spirit of SupCom / TA. We have Starcraft for that.

The competitive / balance / gameplay implications can be solved in other ways.

Personally, I have been using the Advanced Targeting Priorities mod since snipe mode was put into the main faf game. It does create an advantage of course, but so far it has not won any games for me. The thing is, you can't just yeet some units into an enemy base and select the "power" prioritization and cripple the opponents power. You still have to think about what you are doing and whether the sacrifice of 15 t2 units on the opponent's doorstep is worth killing a single t2 pgen.

That being said, I wouldn't care if the mod was removed or implemented, I'm fine with either. I guess the point I am making is that it does not change the game all too much, it just removes the need to manually target things which should already be priority #1.

For snipe mode, however, I agree that it does drastically change the game. Many times I have killed someone who has equal units to me, but because they were in front of their army, I can just set snipe mode and kill them as they try to run behind their units. Another cool trick is to set t2/t3 gunships to snipe mode, and while above an acu that has flak, you can actually dodge the flak shots.

tldr; snipe mode bad, target priorities meh
(to clarify, when saying snipe mode, I am referencing the snipe option in target priorities. I am saying all options are somewhat fine, except the snipe option, which seems a bit powerful)

Yeah the big issue I have is you can't run away with acu. All those near misses were great gameplay. For example monkey is in your base, you run away. You are in range side but monkey won't actually shoot you because it shoots other things. If it targets you, it stops and you get away. That's all good stuff in my opinion.

Then add in snipe mode and the game becomes dry. there are lots of things I wouldn't dare to do again

Although I see the Zeeches point it's probably better to balance it a different way.

i think the change is good but if people are complaining about the survivability of acus maybe the balance team could look into buffing upgrades again ?
