Is there a ways to clean up a lot of the Old Tournament in the Tournaments tab or have it so new tournaments show at the top instead of the bottom which would make more sense

Please bring back old client, can't play faf anymore, neither can my mates, having option of both is fine but downlords is broken and we haven't been able to play a single game.
So it is a perfectly logical mechanic, do you know what engines/propulsion the planes use?

No actually it is a Dirtymatter Propulsion System otherwise known as DPS that you often hear people talking about.

that doesn't tell us what exactly is happening. please do let us know.

I think the main difference is that downlord's client doesn't have nearly as much proxy connection code (since this method of connection is going obsolete) while on the Python faf client the proxy connection would kick in without you having to do anything.

proxy connection is still eons away from the performance of a port-forward connection which is the default on both clients if it detects the port has indeed been forwarded.

try this : viewtopic.php?f=2&t=17145

because soon™ you won't be able to download the Python client at all.

...or you can just wait for Java client to have ice adapter soon™, which would also solve it.

There is a huge amount of work involved to keep FAF running on a server side. For the last 2 years the old client was a constant blocker of progress and we lost patience. If somebody fixes the old client to use the new faf services, it can be used again. But it didn't happen in the last 2 years and I do not believe that it will happen in the next 2 years.

People are waiting for features that can not be achieved with the old client. This is more important than people disliking fonts or colours.

A lot of inner workings changed and will change and the old client will not work anymore. So there won't be any option to opt out.

Unless someone spends a lot of time making it compatible with the new server code...

Hey,
Please let me remind you that this is the "Constructive feedback thread" for the client transition.
Checking in to say "please bring back the old client!" or "my client is not working!" is not going to help.
The old client is not "gone", it's still here, it's just no longer official and therefore it "may" work just like it may not - but we're not going to spend more FAF time to develop it further.
If you have issues with the client, please go to the right forum (Technical Help) and post details/logs about your issue so you can get help.

One more bug in vaults (maybe only for replays). When you open vaults->replays tab it automatically starts loading newest replays. Usually you dont want to wait 60 minutes until all these trash replays which you will never even need load up so you start filling up a desired query.
Now if you're unlucky(~99% of the time) at the moment you finish adding criterias the default query is still not completed. Then you press "Search" button because thats what you want to do when you filled all the fields. If your desired query completes before the initial one (which also happens ~99% of the time) the replays appear and then get overwritten by replays loaded from initial query and you have to press "Search" and wait once more. Pls fix its so annoying.
