@H-Master.

1. It was put there forced by FAF to designate the client as non official in the past.
2. go to the settings and change the background
3. Update your client
4. I like that idea, especially on <FullHD this client is terrible.
8. Eats RAM like hell.

1. Alright, now the client is official.
2. I must have been blind. Some more colour options would be nice, but it's not that important.
3. Perfect!
4. Yep.
8. Some embedded YouTube video's eat ram like hell?

8. Yes, you're integrating a webview and basically running an entire browser (most webviews are based on chromium) in your client.

Thanks everybody for your feedback!

I went through the trouble of reading/dissecting it and extracted the key arguments / converted them into github issues. You can take a look here:

https://github.com/FAForever/downlords- ... backThread

and comment there / check if all important issues are there. I've excluded some things that are minor, not easily feasable or technically not possible.

I did not see cpu+ram load of the client in the list.
Did miss it? If not, under which of the categories does it fall (impossible/hard to do)?

It's not in there as it's not a clear/defined issue we can work on. It's a bit more difficult. It's definitely on the TODO list together with UI rework. It's also sad that I start all of my sentences with it's.

Question with the java Client I like to have the v Match available pop up so I can see if coming is searching in my range but I do feel it get very spammy after a while as I've had up to 7 pop up on top of each other all within seconds of each other is there some way this could be less intrusive in taking up a whole right side of the screen or just have how it was back in the Py Client cross the bottom of the Client it self ?

elthough clearly it's still missing a background for the dropdown.

can confirm this also happens for me.

Can we please remove the rating indicator from the game tiles?

I never used to have any problem filling a Setons lobby; however now I am stuck lobbysimming for 15 minutes or longer and I believe it is because my rating is 800 (and I am no 800 on setons - its a function of my faith in optimal balance on ideological grounds), so it has the appearance of a noob game and so people walk on by.

I think nice window dressing features are good to have and this is not a criticism of this particular feature, but I do think that it contributes to the obsession with rank in the community. If anything is deserving of criticism, the ranking system is it. Even if it is accurate, it is simply too unpredictable and we rely on reputation and knowledge of regulars to make informed decisions for balance purposes.

There are so many smurfs knocking about that it is almost impossible to tell either way, and so I can only assert that the feature itself adds no value and is in fact detrimental to getting games going.
