In newest patch, aeon tmd is totally broken. It doesn't deflect missiles. Replay#8724280

i went back to the previous patch and recreated the scenario that you set up in your replay and got the same result, which means that aeon tmd worked that way already. for best results you have to put the tmd in front of the buildings you're trying to protect, regardless of faction

if my memory doesn't trick me then aeon tmd always worked this way - it only used to be even shittier

also - moved those 3 posts cause they had nothing to do with the 3700+1 thread

I just realised the wording you used for the strat bombing asf and went to test it. This is not what we want. Before the bomb killed the ASF and the Strats. Now it kills only the ASF. This is DEFINITELY not what we want. This is really bad behaviour similar to the CZAR beam we had before it was changed.

it seems to be the best behavior we can expect. You will need to micro your asf to not get them bomb. People were complaining about bomb getting through asf, as breaking the spirit of the game. Also 1 strat is already immune to its own bomb, so letting other strat being immune to it seems logical.

One strat was not immune to it’s bomb before, Cybran bombers would happily kill themselves on T3 shields and others on ASF.

Anti-nukes/ nukes are already going through ASF. ASF are immune to CZAR beam. TMD are immune to TML. ASF are immune to Ahwassa bomb. It only makes sense for consistency to have ASF not get hit by strats.

You are adding more unintuitive micro back into the game that goes against the logic of former changes. Groundfiring a strat or two if ASF cloud catches you is going to become a thing. Just like ground firing Ahwassa and Czar were. So if you’re looking for the spirit of the game, it was buried in favour of gameplay years ago. It’s nice that you’re looking into problems but you should still stick with the path you’re on. Branching into different directions depending on which way the wind is blowing on a patch day isn’t going to get you anywhere.

Ps. InB4 Zcion mixes in a stealth strat to win an asf fight.
