While I get the feeling no one is really to strung up about it, Until now I have more or less tried to keep these posts coming out Sunday evening/Monday morning as far as Europeans are concerned. personally I am wary about using such apps but at the same time typing long passphrases gets on my nerves. I dunno.

but this thing about passwords is so true though people really don't want to care and when you look at something like faf it's tempting to feel it doesn't matter but putting weak passwords gets addictive and you start doing it everywhere through laziness, so basically you have to force yourself to do it as a general rule in order to prevent the bad habit from seeping in.

Is passwords just saved in plain text in the database or how is the devs reading them. This does not seem right.

No, passwords are obviously not stored in plaintext.
They're hashed and stored in a way that we can't know what password do the users have.
However, what we can see is how many users weild the same hash, which is in other words : how many users have the same password than others.
It's not a surprise that the most frequent hash in the database, or more like the 20 most frequent hashes in the database (which means the 20 "most popular" passwords), are stupidly weak passwords that take less than a second to reverse and find. You could aswell type "Most frequent passwords" on google.

How does KeypassX help in the scenarios I've listed? We don't need help remembering the passwords, we have to jump from PC to PC, rebooting multiple times and typing the password to login multiple times. Or doing stuff on a PS4 / XBOne that requires typing in a password many times.

I've often wished for the superpower to cut and paste in "real life", hahah.

Actually, a USB keyboard where you can quickly create a macro by typing some stuff and pressing a key, and then press another key to replay the macro, would be awesome. As long as it stores the macro in hard memory so it survives being unplugged.
