FAF stats

Topic for posting stats on FAF.

Any posts without a (proper*) graph I'll ask to be deleted.

This is a plot showing the how long players waited until their next game, with times rounded down to the nearest 10 minutes. (hours on the x axis, number of occurrences on the y axis)

Data is from March 2014 to March 2016.

If people have ideas for things they'd like to see or if you'd like a copy of the data then feel free to pm me.

I had a request for some stats on unique players (all time) and unique players (per month), so here goes:

Just remember that the data I have starts and ends in the middle of months, so the start and end points of the red line of the graph aren't trustworthy.

Also the data I have clearly doesn't go back to the beginning of FAF, so take the words "all time" with a pinch of salt here.

As ever, I'm happy to take requests for things I should show next.

Coloured by the faction, although it is possible I got the colours mixed up (I blame society for that).

Proportion of games played as each faction. On the x axis this time is the number of games someone has played*:

*in the data I have, with a cutoff once there is less than 100 people with that many games

I wasn't planning on showing this graph, since I don't think it actually shows anything valuable.

This one is a plot of when I first saw someone play a game (in blue) and when I last saw them play a game (in green) (all values plotted are the cumulative values).

All this shows is that I see new people when my data begins, and I stop seeing people after my data ends (aka, time is a thing).

The real purpose of this post is to share all my code so far. Its all in ipython notebook (see http://jupyter.org/) files (thats how I did the dev), and is attached. Also included is all the raw data, so knock yourselves out.
