I never uploaded it because no one seemed to agree on how factories should be handled as far as ordering (for good reason). Since it's such a personal preference I left it as just a link to a zip file, hoping that people would make changes as they saw fit.

Perhaps making a special case for factories that it always gives the most upgraded one instead of all of them would be a better solution.

this thread could use a bump, so here are the ui-mods i'm currently using

100% recommended:
  • notify (v3.8v3) must have for teamgames imo
  • supreme scoreboard (v1.21) big upgrade for the scoreboard. also has lazyshare like functionality.
  • Ui_party (v11) i slightly modified my local version, basicaly integrated some other selection mods that had conflicts. the base version is still great tho and has lots of optional features ( already select a factory when you spawn, show idle engineers, supreme economy-like eco overview etc etc) and userfriendly settings.
  • hotbuild integrated now, but really useful hotkey system even if you only use it for factory, pgen, mex for example

Somewhat more niche Ui-Mods:
  • Additional Camera Stuff (v3.2) Only use the build range preview, but that alone is quite useful
  • Common Mod Tools (v1)
  • nothrottle (v0,2) tbh not quite sure what this one does. iirc speeds up watching replays
  • Notfications (v5.2) Popup windows to remind you to scout, make smd etc. I disabled most of the available notifications, it kinda ended up being spam and i didnt even watch them for a while. mainly use timed_scout and lost important building . quite customizeable
  • Selection Cost Ui Show you how much the currently selected units are worth in mass ( and energy). Pretty useful to judge if an attack is worth it and for watching replays
  • Ui Mass Fab Manager Fa (v3) does as it says. introduces some automation. makes late game ecowhoring more convenient. kinda useful on rohan :)

Ui-Mod wishlist ( if those already exist let me know :) ) :
  • show how much of your mass/energy income is overflow from teammates
  • some way to save a note with BO and other mapdepended stuff, tag it with mapname and have it shown when the game starts

how convenient that totally exists :D :
EcoManager v.7

well how it works is a bit different : in you scoreboard you'll see how much you're overflowing an how much each teammate is overflowing you'll have to do the sums

only works between those who have it installed (AKA those who don't have it see nothing) but lots of people have it installed so i often get to see their overflow.
the second one i'm sure can easily be made as a script withing the notification mod.

here's my mod set :

don't use hotkey labels it's now part of faf.

I'm bumping this thread because.
patch has gone by and my whole mod set is back and functional also I've made edits to some so that they work well together :

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BzN9wS ... sp=sharing
it's a set of 11 mods.

I've removed the black background on mexes as that's known to glitch out and render the whole game unplayable. (I'd be down for tips to remove the number as well).

I've also removed the duplicatta on notify on com upgrades which is too big and isn't colored to show slowdowns. the result (combined with FAF's native mods) makes for a very complete ui.

lots of configuration required post enabling them. i usually attribute uiParty keybinds automatically with it's own button then turn off split screen and other split screen features (because i don't currently have a dual screen setup) while enabling factory loop and ground attack. then I got into FA options and enable everything both in "interface" and "gameplay" then i configure the rest of my hotkeys.

hope this is handy to some.

hopefully in the future UI party, notify, supreme economy em, and Economy manager all get combined to have less conflicts.

I may not have the technical terms but
  • it handles a windowed dual screen setup with ui moved around (you can also present the ui better even if you are in single screen)
  • it allows you to have all factories pre-configured to be on loop and ground attack mode
  • it hosts a tad of the unit deselect features (scouts set to assist won't be selected, engineers that are on a task in separate double click sets)
  • has some eco selectors to pause or prioritize certain current elements of your expenditure that are displayed in a table
  • the rest is less relevant
