Proposal: PC is a decider of various issues that players have.

The PC has a webpage for his use - it should be public, so anyone who has an account can go there and make issues e.g "Hoverbombing: Why I think it shouldn't exist" and explanation. The PC and a select team (PR team :P ) can submit issues for people as well, and also sort them.

As issues are created, they'll become visible on the page. Then anyone who visits can make their own view on it known, but in private to the PC / PR team

The PC weighs up issues and makes decisions.

He would also bring the voice of what the players want to council decisions, hopefully.


Also I apologise for this being in this thread. I think we should make a new one to discuss this.

Morax, I will be doing more than just complaining. Also I will be trying to learn some coding to make the version of the ladder that I want. Since I need to learn to code anyway.

Can the current map pool be mantained in the first post of this thread because there's no way to see the pool on the client anymore.

Learning the code and being able to apply could take some time and real effort so I wish you the best.

I learned some simple Google Docs speadsheet code and it took forever... god knows what you have to do for FAF.

Glad to hear you will do something like that with your spare time rather complain about UI lag which helps no one but yourself. That's how the player councilor should think, so props to you.

Is there going to be a select(or veto) maps feature in the new client at all? Or is it just because of the current hassle that it's missing? Because that has to be a thing.
Also need to see what maps even ARE on the ladder, in CLIENT.

Regarding the map pool.
-15 is a good size.
-4/7/4 might be better in the long run but 3/9/3 works also. 5/5/5 doesn't seem like a good idea.
-3-5 vetos or minimum 10-12 selected, so you can still opt out from 20x20 or 5x5 but not both.
-No probability crap, the maps you veto you don't get or the maps you select you will get.
-No long time maps. Maximum three seasons in ladder and then poof, gone.
-No short time maps. Minimum one season in ladder.
-I vote three months for a season but that is rather long. Two might work better but new map availability is an issue.
-Minimum change 5 maps. No one map changes.
-News posts for ladder map rotation. Always.
-Poll for removing ladder maps that lasts for one season at a time. Accessable from client, link in the ladder map rotation post, for example.
-Ladder editions for maps that have stupid stuff like invisible reclaim(this includes neutral civs, switch them with wrecks so they are visible), hostile pd/aa not visible from the start, radar spoofs, etc.
-No gimmick maps, ever. Crazy rush on ladder was the stupidest thing I have ever seen.

Zock is handling this for a bit it seems. I think some more candidates need to be made aware, Kal. I'm not saying you are not a good one in this case but per the usual it's best to see a pool of opinions first before jumping into action.
