Nomad Change log

Build 47 (late march 2014):
- Fixed several problems with Hotbuild. Templates created with other factions do now carry over to Nomads aswell as other factions. Solved problem with cycling through templates.
- Reduced faction icons in lobby to FAF sizes.
- The capacitor ability now has visuals on the ACU or SCU. There are blinking lights which have a different color and blinking pattern depending on the capacitor state. When charging up the lights are blinking slowly in red. When capacitor is full and ready to be used the lights are constant green. When the capacitor is in use the lights blink fast in blue.
- Nomad SCUs now give a short vocal acknowledge when you select the SCU or give a command to an SCU. This behavior can be turned off via the options menu; two new settings are added on the sounds tab. The command acknowledge response is turned off by default to be in line with the rest of the game. The vocal response is a generic implementation that can be used on other units aswell.
- Several changes to the way the special abilities found in the abilities panel are used. The range ring is nicer. Also the way to target has been improved. While aiming orbital strike press the middle mouse button (scroll wheel probably) to change the attack.
- Radar boost ability can now also be started via the abilities panel. WHen using the button the intel structure closest to where you click on the map will start to boost.
- EMP weapons can not stun units under a bubble shield anymore.
- Changed weapon sound on the T1 and T2 tank and T3 mobile artillery.
- Added new projectile to AA cannon units. These weapons now use the sound previously used by the T1 and T2 tank.
- Orbital bombard missiles now stay high in the air until approaching target.
- Several modifications to the black hole nuke. All units are now properly sucked in. Also several visual changes to the black hole aswell as trying to reduce drag on system by reducing particles from surrounding props. The black hole remnant reclaimable now contains the correct amount of mass and energy (the sum of all that was destroyed by the blackhole).
- Reduced number of builds for almost all engineers. Now using 2 beams as base instead of 3.
- Removed last remnants of unused unit experimental artillery.
- Fixed several small texts, most notably the description of the T2 heavy tank and T2 hover tank.
- Fixed bugs in unit restrictions. The Nomads unit restriction can now be used. Nomads SMD added to No Nukes restriction and Nomads T3 heavy artillery added to Game enders restriction.
- Fixed bug that caused team games with unit restrictions to become FFA games with no unit restrictions.
- Fixed T1 bomber firing 2
- Fixed blinking lights, they are no longer visible through the fog of war.
- Fixed a bug that caused severe UI problems for some players.
- Fixed problem where Nomads air units did not leave a wreckage when crashing on water surface.
- Fixed opening and closing of TML hatch on Crawler experimental.
- Fixed visual issue when T2 transport could contract while falling out of the sky after being shot down.
- Fixed energy upkeep not properly displayed after using intel boost ability.
- Fixed engineer reclaiming and repairing effects still playing after engineer has been killed.
- Various very minor changes and fixes


Build 46 (early march 2014):
- Fixed Hotbuild icw Nomads
- Improved accuracy of T1 and T2 gunships
- Removed unused experimental artillery


Build 45 (late feb 2014):
- UI changes:
= Several changes to the UI so it shows the capacitor capacity and current charge.
= A computer voice now speaks up when the capacitor ability is ready. Also implemented for Intel Probe and Orbital Strike.
= Fixed toggle icon problem. The icon for Bombard was displayed inverse: on when the ability is disabled and vice versa.
= New toggle for the anchor ability.
= Fixed several small issues in texts and tooltips
- New sounds for several Nomads units.
- The MML and T3 submarine can get a different range on their tactical missile weapons when under water.
- The Nomads field engineer is now selected separatly from combat units and engineers.
- Bug fixes:
= All Nomads missiles can now be diverted by Aeon TMD and Nomads AA missile flares.
= Capacitor full ability (and voice warning) no longer plays frequently when capacitor is already full, checking for "full" was missing.
= Fixed annoying hover sound effect
= Eleviated T3 artillery impact effect clipping issues by playing the effects slightly elevated from surface.
= Fixed reclaim time wrongly set for black hole left over reclaimable.
= SCU presets now correctly display their HP when hovering over the unit icon in factory build menu. Enhancements adding HP were ignored.
= FAF only: Fixed initial damage being applied twice
- Generic improvements:
= Renamed the T3 bomber to "Heavy Bomber" from "Carpet Bomber".
= Deleted several unused files including the loading video. It doesn't play from the Nomads packed file and should be downloaded seperately.
= Removed unused, dead and commented out code resulting in cleaner code.
= Removed staged missiles resulting in cleaner code and a minor bug fix.
= FAF only: fixed several conflicts with FAF code (because of some code being integrated into FAF since 3629).


Build 44 (early feb 2014):
- Improvements to AI usage of Nomads experimentals and special abilities.
= The Crawler and Bullfrog experimentals move on top of their target to make use of their crush ability.
= AI now enhances ACU with orbital bombard en intel probe abilities and uses them too.
- Implemented anchor ability. This immobilizes a unit by pressing a button. Useful during ambush tactics.
- Re-enabled black hole effects after fixing the problem that used to crash the game.
- Bug fixes:
= When initial damage was used together with damage radius an incorrect amount of damage was applied.
= Orbital bombard missiles no longer destroy themselves on impact (caused by their AOE and friendly fire).
= Fixed Nomads ACU not spawning. ACU power armor enhancement removal had wrong bone specified, causing the game to error out.
= FAF only: support factories can now be updated in one go from T1 to T3. A bug prevented the update from T2 to T3 without player interaction.
= FAF only: fixed incorrectly flashing of support air factory being upgraded to T3.
= FAF only: Corrected a file name so a FAF file is now properly hooked
- Generic improvements:
= Orbital strike database removed, resulting in cleaner code and very minor improvements overal.
= The "mothership" now goes away when a Nomads player is defeated.
= Deleted several unused files
= FAF only: Copied over FAF improvements to SCU preset script
= FAF only: Copied over FAF teleport script framework
= FAF only: Removed bug fixes for FAF that are now included in FAF since 3629.

that t1 bomber change is nice, i guess the bomber will now harder to micro

Appearantly there was a bug in the Hotbuild mod supplied with Nomads that makes the game crash at game load.Also, for some reason AI players ceased to work. Both problems now fixed. No other changes done.

Nomads have improved 'Out of Sight' with latest changes ... well done guys

Using Nomad Sorian Turtle AIx is now equal to all other factions.

I need the unit IDs ...in particular the Nuke Shooter and Anti-Nuke IDs
...will we get a units database?

FAF Does not work for everyone, and thus we can't play your mod :)
