differentiate between unscouted radar blips and scouted radar blips. No big deal.
Now a black ACU when he happens to be among other units is a big deal?
keep it in the balance testing mod and wait for reactions.
i have never heard of any complains about the black color in the gpgnet days.

As far as the second red color goes (the original FA red color), it's at the bottom of the list for a reason. It will never be automatically assigned to people because the game assigns colors to people in order from top color to bottom color. So unless you have 14 players, the second red color will never be automatically used. It's just there if the person that gets the FAF red color doesn't like the FAF color, he can pick the original FA color. Also, they might seem similar in the menu, but in the actual game they're pretty easily distinguishable. Just try it out.

Would be quite thankful. Though, i can live with the other colours too, but not as colourful!

then even 6vs6 games should not be a problem (unless somebody chooses the second shade of red,blue,or green on purose).
