I have this option enabled since ~5 years and it never changed.

Hello Flynn,

please go to "Options -> Interface" and set "All Race Templates" to "On"

Then you can use your templates for all factions.

Greetings, Uveso.

I I WAS remembering correctly then! Any reason why the updates disabled this by default?

If I make templates with UEF I can't use them with Aeon.

ummm kinda makes sense cause each structure has a different id-code you are saving for the template it´s not the buildingtype you are saving ..

that´s specificaly the case with mods using multiple factions or when capturing tech of another faction in a game ..

Why did they change it from how it was? Never had to do this on previous versions of FAF.

i don´t remember that ever having been possible in FAF nor vanilla FA .. the easiest answer i imagine is flaws with coding if it was in ...

But seriously, my solution to this is to start a 1-player game on the map "Gap of 64 ACUs" (where you get 2 ACUs from every faction) and use that to make every template, once per faction. Also, I turn the game speed to "adjustable" so I can grow my economy at +10 speed without doing a lot of micro. Then after a couple minutes I have a bunch of t2 mexes, t2 pgens, and some T3 ACUs from all factions, so I can build whatever I want. There is enough flat ground to make many templates.

Alternatively, you could learn how to use cheats to give yourself the stuff. And then, in your cheaty sandbox, make all of the templates 4x over.
