You can't play version 18 and 17 at the same time. This WILL desync the game.
But the FAF client should install version 18 to all clients if the host has V18.

@Rowey:

I have several problems with the pyton FAF client (the legacy one) and accessing the vault.
Maybe you could use Downlords java client for the vault?

Looks like the pyton client is no longer able to get all data from the vault and Downlords client
has some trouble with the mod autoupdate before a game starts.
If you maually download maps or mods, it works perfect.

if you have any issue with the mod then please post the exact name of the mod, the mod UID (you can find it in the mod_info.lua in the mod files of the mod)
you can also try to manually delete the mod and download it from the vault via the client

would be real nice now there is a stable/compatible to FAF version of blacktops to see the blacktops mod tag reinstated at the game launcher so that people could host games with everyone on the same version at least.

Unrar the archive.
