Aeoncommander is a bot, all the "commanders" in white are bots, other people in white are moderators.

Please look at this page: http://wiki.faforever.com/index.php?title=Introduction_to_development

Speak to one of the Global moderators to get started, they will speak to the relevant parties and instruct you on how to go about it.

You can find a full list of our moderator/administration team here: http://forums.faforever.com/memberlist.php?mode=leaders

You can contact them either ingame or on the forums by private message.

If you are already in our slack , post this in the development channel.
I will link it in there too.

If you aren't yet, please pop it in here
http://forums.faforever.com/viewforum.php?f=45
and consider joining our team of contributors/developers if you'd like to help out.

Otherwise, try posting it in here as this thread is literally just or mumble related issues/lost certificates&authorizations etc. :)

Kind regards,
Nyx.

I think autoconnection functionality can be done easily with Discord API.
I just googled a little and found this: https://github.com/just-fans-of/impromp2
This js bot is used to create temporary voice channels. It can be used as an example.
it uses discord.io library which also has a method to move users between voice channels
(https://izy521.gitbooks.io/discord-io/c ... Users.html)

But as most faf code is written in python, you will probably like discord.py more
https://discordpy.readthedocs.io/en/lat ... te_channel
https://discordpy.readthedocs.io/en/lat ... ove_member
I'm not sure how to make only players from one team to be able to enter their channel, but I think this is possible.

So, what are your thoughts on this?

P.S. created an issue on github: https://github.com/FAForever/server/issues/308

If more people use mumble then I expect there is a likelihood that it will be looked at again.

I guess I could sit there and manually move you to different channels when you are playing? :D

it broke due to an update and instead of fixing it, it got removed to implement it in a better way... which never happened.

The mumble connector/auto channel changer and link to FAF client is no longer functional. This feature was removed. You can still manually change channels. Connect to mumble.faforever.com and please refer to the second post on this sticky for further help, if you are still experiencing issues, please contact me again on here via private message or on the FAF client.

Hope this helps,
Nyx.

Also, it's on a mariadb, and secured, so you wouldn't have any issues there as well. :)

Though personally I like mumble more.

I installed the latest Mumble version this morning. Now it does not start the program, I get an error saying "A referral was returned from the server". It was working on the older install (mine was 1.2.8).

I am aware of this, this is an issue relating to Use group local policies and certificates, or at least it was when someone else I know had the problem. Please try this:

First of all:

What yorick linked, please try installing this
https://www.startssl.com/certs/ca.crt

as it says on this page:
http://wiki.mumble.info/wiki/FAQ/English#.22A_referral_was_returned_from_the_server..22_error_while_starting_Mumble_on_Windows

If this does not help, please try this:

If this does not work, please try this:

I was going to link you the txt base version but I checked this video and it is actually correct, it is not a hoax video. Here is a text based version:

Hope this helps,
