wow i'm 5 minutes into the loki tutorial and it's really gotta be said : this is absolutely top notch!

i think there are too many people trying it out :

i've only gotten to 25% of the download of "FAF_TUT_Loki_BO_VO.nx2" after 10 minutes of it downloading

I'm really really pumped though!

I looked at the Four-Leaf Clover Tutorual. Looking very professional, i like it. The voice-overs are geat, the female voice could use more volume (either up the volume if it doesnt hit 0 db yet (normalize) or apply a slight bit of compression, not too much).

However I do have a feeling that these voice-overs might kinda lock you in. For example, whenever you want to change the tutorial text, fix a build order or correct mistakes (like the text says that Four-Leaf is a 10km map which is true, the voice says its a 5km map). I don't know where you get the professional voice overs from, but redoing them is probably a lot of effort. For now this is not a problem as the voice and text mostly match, just a potential future thing.

I would also reduce the amount of voice/text a bit for future tutorials. Its just a bit too much. For example it is unnecessary to exactly spell out the build order of a factory after the first 10 units (it already tells you to click the factory to look at the order anyway). Also it sometimes is oddly specific (like it tells you to build like exactly 4 tanks, 1 scout, 2 arties). It would make more sense for me if it told me to build "mostly tanks, 1 scout and some arties" in a loop.

And the last tip is to really watch out that you are not giving generic tips. You are already doing that very well, but certain tipps like "dont forget to put the second factory on infinite build" is something that i dont want to hear every time I want to learn a new build order. This stuff should be tought in a more generic tutorial, so that we have less repetition in each build order tutorial, and it helps reducing the overall text/voice.

Hi,

just when i had given up hope.. and i thought nothing had changed..

Delighted to see that professional content Speed2, some awesome work there pal, camera work, mfd work, voice overs, scripted events, it's all really really cool and im glad and happy someone actually expanded that but also did something constructive with it.. great job...

i'm not saying this to take anything away from the op subject, but i made a mod that lets the AI play along the player, so for instance, i added an acu enhancement for AI control, once you get it, you activate the order from the orders panel and the acu starts building things you need, but also the things it builds also start building things you need, like engies, scouts, whatever that AI is already capable of it does, just like it would if you were playing against it, The things that are built also go about there business building mex or other buildings etc..

i had this very purpose in mind for new players, to learn from the ai.. :/

anyway great job!

Topic is not dead, just got a few things to take care of before I can come back to full development. Medicraze is making voices for us and I'm planning what to do for the next tutorial. Stay tuned.
